    Hi guys.

    I was just thinking about White Binsui stone. On Japanese Knife Imports website you can find information that this stone is about 1000 grit stone. My white Binsui in not even close to 1000. It need other medium stone like 1000 to be used before. It leaves great edge on any knife. It confuse me a little bit because I know that this stone is last stone used in sword polishing, which can change blade geometry. I just found information on tomonagura.com that an approximate grit range for these stones might be rated as being around 220-400x. Why there is so big difference in grit range for those stones?
