I cannot disagree- as the whole place is a treat if you snorkel or dive. Sea turtles everywhere.

 

We were out hiking at the Oregon Coast last Saturday. Lovely weather.

 

I forgot that you're in Oregon Andrew. I'll have to pick you up next time I'm on my way down to hangout with Taro and Gunner for sushi time if you're interested! :lol:

 

I'd be well up for that! There's a pretty amazing sushi joint in Corvallis if you all ever want to meet up here. Great Indian and Mexican, too. In fact, Corvallis is one of the best foodie cities I've ever lived in, and this is, by far, the smallest town I've lived in. Lots of "farm to table" here, but that seems to be common in Oregon. We've only been here less than 2 years, and this state constantly blows my mind. My girlfriend and I feel very fortunate to be putting down roots in Oregon.

 

Hmm. Maybe we all need to meet in Corvallis at some point too then! I hope your girlfriend does well with knife talk hah!

 

She's a solid-state chemist working with metals. She wanted to go to the knife show this year, especially the metallurgy talk, but she couldn't get away from work. She appreciates, knives, fountain pens, fly fishing gear, bicycles, camping/hiking, etc, but she doesn't geek out over the details as much as I do. Her job is pretty time consuming, so I do the gear research, then we both use it all.

We actually went to Kamitori in Eugene last Friday before the Banff film festival. It was really good!

Sounds like a keeper! I haven't been down to Kamitori since I've only been to Eugene twice haha! I'll put it on the list!

thanks for the translation. yep good time to upgrade sad that sony is not updating the A65. i want more then the A58 but dont need the A77. good news is the A65 is now on sale for just 500$
