Getting some sides ready for the"dinner"

White turnips gently steamed and rested in a cream and butter spa.

Did you guys see that a woman in Washington State won a $90,000,000 powerball jackpot? She bought the ticket at my grocery store. I'm there at least a couple times a week, but I didn't win (probably need to buy a lottery ticket for that.) So I get bean soup for dinner. With garlic knots because I'm pouting. On the plus side, I think the grocery made a mistake pricing hams--the Snake River Kurobuta hams were the same price per pound as every other ham in the case. So I snagged one or four. Down to the bone and scraps on the first one, so time for some bean soup.

    It still looks good!
And I'd still eat bean soup if I were $90M richer. I'd just eat it with a gold spoon :tpk

I'd still eat bean soup. But someone else would wash the dishes, while I was off getting a hot-rock massage by a handsome young man named Sven.

Good looking pie! And I like the idea of greens on top--might need to try that.

  18. Arugula?

    Looks great!

Yep, i think that the light peppery note of arugula works great and gives a bit of freshness to the pizza. Sometimes I drizzle just a tiny bit of basil vinaigrette or just a few drops of aged balsamico over it.
