Thanks! It's amazing in person. I've been telling myself that it's time to stop buying knives, but Epicurean Edge and their evil Cyber Monday sale got to me. Now I'm kicking myself for not picking up some of Mark's curly spalted maple for a re-handle.

is it a yanagi? seems like a single bevel or just some massive double

 

They are big double bevels like Fujiyamas as far as I know

The mirror polish gives a bit of an illusion that there is a shinogi, it's a pretty well blended convex.
