  8. Lol...I'm going to be picking up some bulk vegetables and proteins to partition for dinners over the next month or so. Going to give it a GOOD solid workout....then it'll be sent out to you guys :). Shouldn't be more than a week or so!

surprised to see you so hesitant to send it out to us after you have sold some pieces for so much money. i guess an artist will always doubt his own work. at least i know i do.

  10. I'm not sure what you mean Brad. I'm not hesitant...its just a slightly different grind than my typical one...and I want to see how it feels in use for myself.

I think there was a compliment in there though...so thanks :).

That is looking really nice, really curious how it looks live :)

  12. As far as the blades go...live they are just nuts. Pictures just don't do them justice at all.

    Here's a few anyways though :D.

    20150409_224524.jpg
300x40 suji (this one is getting something rather special for the handle...stay tuned :D), 280x41 suji (just got a @mkriggen handle in the mail today for it!), 270x49 gyuto-hiki (not sold yet so no handle plans), and a 150 petty/utility!

    20150409_224547.jpg 20150409_224607.jpg
150 petty/utility. Straight 'sugaha' hamon with a little fun on the nose. A lot of people have asked me about a more regular hamon without any flare or craziness...and this is it.

270 gyuto-hiki. This is basically gyuto on the heel, wish a more suji like belly (meaning, none at all...it's 80% flat) with a very low tip. This makes the blade narrower in profile down the length. Some people love them...others not so much. I think they're fun, but I like them shorter personally.

    280 suji. This one's getting a Manu handle :D.

    20150409_224646.jpg
300 suji. I'm thinking...bog oak, blue mammoth tooth, nickel silver...and...oosic? Hmm...!

    It just never stops!!!

  14. That 300 suji is getting a new handle design as well...that I think you're going to love my friend! Not like anything I've made before :D.

  16. Looking forward to seeing it

  17. :D

I have a prototype I'm working on right now. As soon as that's finished I'll get you some pictures of it and you can tell me what you think :).

??? PROTOTYPE ??? Yea buddy, can't wait!

  19. if its anywhere near the beauty of the blade, its going to be spectacular. Ive got a couple of catered bbq's i'm doing this spring and its going to be my slicer of choice for the brisket. Gotta look good and what better way to dress up a bbq then puttin on some bling

  20. One thing I keep forgetting to ask, are you thinking about a saya or some kind of sheath?
