soooooo... are they ready ?

 

They should be almost there but I haven't worked on them for the last three days. I'll be back at them tomorrow though.

 

no rush Dave, I was just messin wth you. Take your time.

 

The blades are all ground and 3 of the 4 have the wood glued up. I should be handle shaping tomorrow.

 

yeah I keep saying that too but never seem to make it to the gym

I've got them all at about 95%. Just have some final finishing to do after marking them so they should be ready this weekend sometime or after Mother's Day...whichever comes first.

10 mins into blade finishing on the first knife and a Scothbrite belt blows apart and heads right down the dust collector hose and into the machine. 4 hrs later it's running again but I'm ass whopped.

Hehe, that is some serious suction....

 

Yeah you should have seen how fast it got sucked down that tube, crazy! Funny but I instantly jumped sideways to turn off the dust collector and still wasn't fast enough to stop the shredding. Some of the belt actually made it outside too. I've really got the dust collector set up working great now, maybe too great? :k
