    Went to my favorite place to get bacon today:

    Between the lovely green color of the building, the honey bucket in the parking lot, and the cow on the roof, you know it's going to be good! (They also sell inner tubes for floating on the river.)

    The home tomatoes aren't ready yet, but picked up some heirlooms from the grocery and had a dandy lunch.

    We also had a vegan that had 5 course tasting menu , one of the dishes from the night , Cinderella pumpkin risotto

    All I can offer is Beer Can Chicken:D

    Made a quick rub with Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, Cumin seeds, Coriander seeds, Chili flakes, Salt and Pepper then stuff the bird on top of half a can of beer so it steams from the inside out while it's in the oven, well that's the idea anyway! Lets's see how it turns out:D

    Looks pretty happy there. I've never done one in the oven, only on the grill. how did it come out?
     
  14. I didn't get any 'after' pics Mike, we were a little hungry and just tucked in!
    I gave it a brushing with bbq sauce when it was nearly done and put it back in for about 10mins to get a nice sticky coating on it, didn't really get any beer flavour going on but it was nice and juicy all the way through and tasted great:)

  18. Yea i was napping with the toddler on top and got mouthwatered too. I did pasta with creamy salmon and alot of garlic for dinner. Probably not close to that salmon but it helped the craving.

    What's this vegetable peeler thing you speak of?!?!? The Tanaka Nakiri took care of the carrots.
