Looks about right. I'm assuming it says Sheaffer on the nib?
There were so many Sheaffer Models it gets hard to keep them straight. Never seen one that color but it doesn't mean they didn't exist. Especially when they have models that were only produced for one side of the pond... There are some more well versed Sheaffer people at FPN. That site can be dangerous for your wallet...

 

It's a Lady Schaffer. Should also come with a leatherette pouch. The nib is bent. Someone probably tried to back bend the nib after they pressed too hard and sprung it.

those are cheap steal nibs though... not the high end nibs on those pens

a pen that probably took that artisit months to make.. Maki-e is a very skilled and time consuming process.... Danitrio has pens in the tens of thousands, and there are some limited edition Makie pens out there that break 100000 for a pen believe it or not

That's really not surprising to hear though. It's just not something you hear everyday.
