Has anybody done this? It seems like most of what I see are blanks, yet some fairly simple offset turning is how woodworkers have made comfortable tool handles since the invention of the lathe.

Turn a nice handle, then oh so carefully cut it in half at the bandsaw.

I am having difficulty picturing what you are talking about.
But then I am not a wood turner. Those guys are crazy.
    any photos?

I think the idea is to turn a handle, cut it in half, then flip on of those halves so the handle is not put together opposite on one side

It produces a handle for say a hammer or japanese saw like above. Eplitical. Very ergonomic, and very customizable.

I thought offset handles were made by off-centering the turning in the lathe.....not by cutting it in half?!?!

As far as I know, it is. Does harmoni mean cutting it in half lengthwise? I'm confused! Where's my boggled emoticon?? I hate using Tapatalk sometimes. :(

After you turn it, you could cut it in half to create the 2 sides of the knife, or chisel it to allow the tang into it without cutting it.

Is this anything like asking for a custom title on that other site? I think we're going to need a screenshot of your tabs, to make sure you're still not making it rain lol.

  10. Why, thank you!
