    DUDE!!! BAK! :jump

  2. Thanks guys!! I think the Kingwood turned out beautifully as well.

I did guess it was a sort of rosewood Stephen...though I wasn't sure. Not from the smell so much as the texture. The smell does make it a bit pleasant to work with, lol...but the gummed up belts negate that enjoyment, and then some!

That said, the end result sure does make it all worth it :D

  3. such an extreeeeemely pleasant looking knife that I almost overlooked dirty floor in the background. Almost :D

  4. Lol...the entire shop is a disaster! Worse than usual even :p.

  7. Heya man. If you mean the bowl with the q-tips, it's liver of sulphur.

I always likened Kingwood to a slightly more purple Cocobolo...Gorgeous Cris.

  15. Anyone for a serve of Ian Tongue soup?

  16. /sigh.

The good news...for someone...is that this knife will be going up as a stock knife...most likely in the 225-240mm range...so some lucky soul is going to get that hamon AND jump the line in the process. The other bit of bright side is that the grain looks exceptional lol, so whoever it is knows what they're getting on the inside too :p.

ooooo--that hurts! Somebody's going to get a fine looking 240, tho.

  18. Right? :D

Funny story, the thing warped again sitting on the bench overnight lol. W2 is stubborn, stubborn stuff. It's sitting in the tempering oven right now so I can take the warp out while it's hot.

    Again.

    Lol.

  19. That's a shame. Glue it back together and buff out the glue line.
