Those pickles look great, Jason. And I don't even like pickles.

I ended up with one pitiful sungold tomato plant from the grocery. It's pretty sad looking, but it's starting to set fruit. We have a bumper crop of rabbits, though. There were 3 of them chasing each other on my back porch this morning.

the peas are finished (not sure when to plant the late run anyone know?) razzberrys are full force and we have picked about 2 qts (not bad for 4 plants) beets are getting close and green beans will start to be picked next week is my guess.
my tators are just now blooming

    Purple potatoes?

Yup! I didn't like them. Besides being purple, which is just weird to me, they didn't have any flavor to them. The red ones in the same pan tasted like a red potato. The purple ones didn't taste like potatoes at all. Just no flavor.

Garden looks great, Jason. Thought you didn't like spicy--looks like some hot peppers in there!

One of these days I need to try zucchini, but I've heard that one plant can take over the world.

It's more of a family garden. My brother will munch on a hot pepper right off the plant. I, on the other hand, prefer not to even touch them.

These are the biggest zucchini plants I've ever seen. The yard has never had a garden in it until this one. When we tilled it up we mixed in manure and miracle grow potting mix. I think it was a great combo!

I had some fried green tomatoes the other day for the first time. It was the moment when I realized that anything fried is good. I hate tomatoes, but the fired green tomatoes I had were pretty awesome.

Now the watermelon has gone crazy. I counted 15 little melons on the vines. Bet there's a few more I can't find.

Cherry tomatO--no 's'. One tiny tomato is all I've gotten so far. Thank goodness for Farmers' markets.
