This is what I did. I had to put speedlite on top of it and trigger it remotely. With two lamps it could be great.

i looked really hard at the Emount when i upgraded to a new body ended up gettig a A65 before it wass disco. if they dont give me a nice mid range body in a few years i ll be swapping to emount (i just hope by then AF will be nearly as fast as the A mount is )

  3. I recently switched from Canon FF to a Sony a6000. It's a lot more pleasant to tote around. I'm using the 35 1.8 OSS E mount as well. Native lens selection is probably the biggest drawback to this system. I've no complaints about AF speed or general IQ. It's not going to compete with my previous DSLR but it's a fun little system and at less than $800.

Here are some shots from a week or so past. was out using my fish eye. It is a learning experience. I've lots of shots with pronounced edged distortion, and of course, my feet. But it is getting to be one of my favorite lenses.

  10. We are back from vacations in Italy and since I figured out how to shoot panoramas with my camera (yeah, I finally read the manual), here are some of them.

  11. Great pics, Greg. The country I live in suddenly looks a lot more beautiful :).

I really enjoyed the Italy pics both here and on Flicker. Brought back fond memories of my time there, though I was down south mostly

  13. Great pics Anton. In spite of the massive tourism that part of the Italian post where Portofino is located (there's a name for it, but I forgot it; anyone?) remains a very beautiful part of historic Italy.

  14. Italian Riviera?

Yesterday I went out for a cigarette at about 9pm when I saw a nice sunset. The point is that area in which I live is not nice at all. I had to stand on the bench and take a photo with one hand, because of a high wall and fence.

    P.S.

    I love Lightroom....!!!

There are many small towns/villages along the coast. Some places, like Portofino and Cinque Terre are pretty famous among the tourist, but something like Camogli or Santa Margherita are just as nice but don't have crowds of tourists.

  17. I'm a big fan of Lightroom as well. But still learning it. Could you tell a little bit of the settings you adapted to get those vibrant colors and great contrasts?

I can't tell you exactly, because I have 15 versions of that picture.

Here is an original photo as it was taken.

All I did was playing with different setting. I always start with basics: white balans, exposure, shadows etc. Then sharpening. In case of that picture I also have used one of google NIK collectios plug ins HDR Efex Pro2. Google was giving them away for free some time ago. Maybe they are still for free. That's it. I don't have ready reciepe for a picture. Just play with Lighroom:D

  19. Wow, what a difference! Given the darkness in particularly the lower part of the original, you must have used HDR :). I'll google that plug-in. (Use a Google product to find a Google product .) Thanks!

Edit: I googled it and all of the NIK plug-ins are free :D. Thanks again!
