I've always had a thing for blades in general, be it a pocket knife, kitchen knife, fighting dagger, or sword. I have a few custom and/or hand made swords, daggers, belt knifes, etc., but nothing like that in my kitchen, I am realizing. Which is odd, since I do all the cooking just about at home, and really enjoy spending time in the kitchen. I'm looking forward to now to learning a bit more about what is almost certainly the most important tool I have in my kitchen, or that you find in any kitchen.
My friends often call my house "The Short Order Hangout", since invariably if people show up, I dig through the cupboards and whatnot and manage to cook up a variety of offerings sort of last minute for them. They even joked they were going to get me one of those bells you put on the counter so I can ding it and yell "Order up!" at them from the kitchen.Interact
