I am glad I did. It will make a fine cup of espresso or Cappuccino. At the time it was 95,000 Lire which at the time was close to $95.00. That was for 110v wiring model for export. When I got state side they were $250. hazard to guess what they go for now if still made. Rhonda does not like it having its own place of honor on the counter, so it sits up on a shelf out of the way.

Not a kitchen knife, but a very versatile thing to have. Ian seems to make decent HT on 52100 as I've yet to manage to chip the edge on this one. Two other Japanese-made kiridashi knives that I use often do chip pretty easy.

  6. And I guess it's a widely known fact by now that single bevels knives on top of cup of coffee can greatly enhance flavour and make your hair healthier. So here's the only single bevel kitchen knife I have.

  7. I'm just beginning some polishing work on this little (210) workhorse. A nice cup of pour over and some JRRT is how I like to start the day. Anyone here wanna talk about the silmarillion sometime.......best book ever.

  8. ... If there's any hair left after testing the sharpness of your knives. :D

  9. I have an original printing of the Silmarillion packed away...though I still have never read it. I never have time to read anything except forums anymore, lol. I loved Tolkien as a child though. I could read the same books over, and over, and over, and over...always finding some little detail or nuance I didn't pick up the last time around.

  10. beautiful. Those are my favorite edc knives. I just lost mine, must replace it. It was stolen, actually. The now discontinued Bradley Kimura 4 graced my pocket for almost 3 years. I have yet to decoder on its replacement, though I am leaning towards a "custom built" knife, using replacement parts from the same knife for the handle, and a D2 tanto point bladei found online.

tell me more about how you made this blade yourself

  11. Typical morning. Reading the forum, I mean, the fora, drinking strong pour over, and admiring a little shig. image.jpeg
