What to do with spare knives

friend of mine sent me this pic of a sculture made from knives collected by police. Pretty cool

 

Now serving as a chair in one of their interrogation rooms.

 

That is pretty sweet...although I see a lot of kitchen knives (actually mostly kitchen knives) in there. I wonder why they might have been confiscated.

When I worked at a large retailer several years ago, you couldn't buy even a small pocket knife if you were underage, but you could buy any size kitchen knife you wanted, no questions ask. 2

 

Just hope it doesn't fall on you as you walk by......
