Anyone else find themselves looking for large cats in the subsequent pictures in this thread?

Definitely a beautiful part of the world.

 

Can't have cats without dogs! Just when I thought I was alone!

 

I tried to get a good picture of the northern lights a couple weeks ago, but had little luck. Here is an image I found from a few miles from here on the same night. Had to find a way to share.

Lol Topher puts the german Shepards in their place... im guessing he would take the high ground with this guy though

I know getting a cat to sit on cardboard is easy, just put it in the center of the room with nothing else to sit on it, but how did you get the Puppy to sit on it ?

 

Te puppy was following me for a good part of the day. Usually just out of sight. I doubled back and caught it off guard, got one decent pic. Too bad it blinked! It ran once it knew I was on to him, and able to turn the tables. They don't like being the ones tracked.

 

I didnt think wolves liked coming that close to people, or just used to your scent being out there and probably got curious ?

They are getting more and more used to people, that isn't a good thing. They are Apex critters. The "curious" puppy's are the worst. Unpredictable. I don't like being around them, one or two are ok, but more than that, is bad news. The companies we work for have hired crews to "run them off" Same crews chase the bears in the summer, they have amazing dogs that go nose to nose with these animals. THAT is an extreme job!

 

They are amazing animals... but entirely to clever in a pack
