Choil shot is pretty amazing. Belt or stones?

Looks great. It's amazing what you can do to a knife to take it from ordinary to extraordinary. What are the handle materials?

  4. Greg thinned it on stones since the steel is not that hard it was possible.

It was all by hand on stones and an Atoma diamond plate. Pretty macho, I'd say.

  6. That's amazing, very beautiful!

I love those upgraded Forgecrafts. Just something about them... Will have to keep my eye out for one of the sweet $25 deals. how are they as knives before the upgrades? How is the steel?

Edges are thick. Steel is softer side. That one was thinned A LOT!

That looks really good, how does it perform?

  16. Well today was first day i rly got to use it. i love how it cuts and the cutout choil and everything rounded feels super nice. right now it has a 1k finish but im planing to put on a or 3k to see if it holds up ok.

Before upgrade thay are wedgy and thick behind the edge. the steel is on the softer side but not bad at all. for 20 to 50$ its a nice grab

Regarding the steel and it being on the soft side. Has it been brought to its peak by Forgecraft, or would the steel composition support a different heat treat to make it a bit harder?

  19. Im not sure. i like how the steel feels right now so it has not been one of the elements i been looking into

  20. Absolutely beautiful. Waiting on 2 eBay Forgecrafts myself. You have inspired me!
