280mm W2 Hitatsura Honyaki Sujihiki

First, video lol.

This blade belongs to @strumke, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. It fought me in a number of areas...from the grind, to fitting the handle etc. It even bit me pretty good in polishing (they all do, this one was a bit more serious lol). @mkriggen's handle work is a great fit for the blade as well. All in all a wonderful piece!!

No sir! Just went through a bit of drama over there with the moderation in regards to what I could and couldn't say both in, and out of my little tiny section. Pretty much every post I made anywhere was flagged as me trying to market my work (I mean, I'm a knifemaker not a chef!! ANY post I make is going to be from the perspective of a person that makes the thing, not a person that uses it!)...so I figured it was just best to go elsewhere. It was frustrating enough that I took a break from knives entirely though...and when I came back Son pointed me here, and I've been at home ever since.

If you do decide to put in an order...just let me know! I'd be more than happy to get to work on it asap .

I remember lol...I just finally took you off the list a few weeks ago!! You originally wanted a gyuto, then switched to a...honesuki if I recall??

 

I was all over the place at the time I wanted a gyuto-hiki, honesuki, petty?
