After some heat treat testing. Im sure of one thing. This stuff will make a great knife! :D

    So Here it is.

x2. That looks great. Glad to see other makers stepping in to fill the Blue void left by Carter.

    Thanks guys.

The steel is awesome. and I am happy to have the chance to work with some. Heat treating was and is always the "fun" part of working with any new steels. There is not HT info I could find so I had to do some testing that allowed me to begin to figure out this steel. After talking top a friend and steeloligest about the specs and stuff for this material. I had a base line. or game plan. The results were good. But I felt I could make it better. so I tweaked the plan and tested again. and again. Until I achieved the desired results. Or at least till I felt the steel was at its "HAPPY PLACE" [IMG]

One of the things I noted as I worked with the Blue 2. Was that it seemed to be a very abrasive resistant steel once heat treated and tempered. Which leads me to think its going to have a wear resistant edge. that should last longer at 80% then a 10XX High Carbon steel knife.

Thanks guys for the opportunity and knowledge that I have found here on KKF!! You all are the sharpest knife knuts I know!

    Blessings
