Hey guys. Im gona do a Christmas 2015 run in AEB-L 240mm gyuto's with burl wood handles.
There will be limited number of knives available. When all are spoken for I will update this thread.

These will all be my standard western 240mm profile, full tang construction. They will have walnut burl handles. I will also offer Ironwood burl upgrade for additional $35.00

Price $486.00 delivered in the USA.. additional 21.00 for international orders.

Blade specs.. 240mm gyuto, Stainless steel AEB-L Heat treated and cryo quenched to 61 HRC
Satin finish, 50/50 grinds. With rounded spine and choil.
Approx 49mm tall at the heel. Spine thickness above the heel will be approx 2.5mm tapering to the tip.

Handle specs.. Highly contoured, Claro walnut burl. Or Ironwood (upgrade) Handle will have 3 pins.

Claro walnut makes a great handle material. Its very durable and i feel has a much nicer look when left unstabilized. Hard to describe. Its like the figure/grain and curl is better with a hand rubbed oil finish. (my opinion.) That said.. these will have a hand rubbed oil finish.. This process takes a few extra steps and added time yet its worth it.. The results are Beautiful!
Ironwood upgrade. Ironwood is one of the most desirable natural woods you can use for a handle. The figure and grain of the wood ranges from BOLD to delicate. and the color and chatoiancy is exceptional. Color can range from golden to almost black. and everything in between.. The pieces for this project are a rich redish brown color. with black grain. Similar to the photo. $35.00 for Ironwood.

Expected delivery before Christmas 2015 for USA customers. and may be later for international. (sry guys) All will ship on same day. and go USPS priority mail.
