F/S 300mm Suji. San mai and Ironwood F/S

Hey guys. and gals. This one needs a new home. I just finished the handle on it today and sharpened it up. Its ready to slice and dice. The OAL of the knife is just under 19" And the blade is just over 300mm tip to heel. The height at the heel is approx 48mm

The knife is what I call a suji. But its sorta a cross between a traditional suji profile and a gyuto. The blade is taller then most 300mm suji's allowing for easy board use. Without the dreaded knuckle busting that happens with shorter blades.

This blade is a san mai with a Hitachi Blue#2 steel core and W1 damascus cladding. I went with a stabilized birch burl furrel and a spacer of turquoise stuff I had in my stash, Paired with some beautifully figured Arizona desert Ironwood.

Spine thickness is approx 2.5mm above the heel, tapering to a very thin tip. Its Ground Asymmetric approx 60/40 Right hand. The spine and choil are rounded for comfort.

Balance point on this one is about 1 inch in front of the heel. just to the R side of my makers mark. Weight is surprising at only 8.6 ounces.
