Good morning guys. Its official.. So I can now start talking about it more.

Round 2 of my Production Chef line is in process.

It probably gona be somewhat of a surprise that I chose to switch from a wood handle to a manmade material. Let me explain. I chose a 2 color G-10 for these. This stuff is my favorite to use of all the man made micarta type materials I have tried. Most are familiar with this material. But for those who are not. Ill tell ya a little about it.. Its totally water resistant. Its also very heat resistant. And its tough. You could literally run it over with your truck and it would not hurt it. It will not shrink or crack. and best of all. It looks pretty cool when carved and shaped. showing muti colors and the contours of the handle.
So, I when with a custom G-10 that I had made for these. Its a neon green and hunters orange combination. The material is layered green orange green orange etc. etc. and when its shaped you can expect the bulk of the handle to be neon green and have orange accent. You wont have to worry about loosing this or it growing legs and walking away.
I added a image of a example of the material. (borrowed from Tracy at USA Knifemakers) This is not the EXACT material. yet similar. The sample image/piece shows the layers well. Its been sanded a few different ways to show the different looks of the material.

For the Blades. I went with AEB-L for these. Of all the stainlesses I have tried and tested. This stuff is my all time favorite and works so well as a kitchen knife!! They will be HT and Cryo treated. Then tempered to a 61/62 range.
The blade grinds will be same as the first batch of HHH Production Chefs. This grind is what I call a "Ridged" grind. Meaning although the blade itself is thin. The grind does not make it feel flimsy. I have seen a few laser type knives that would double as a filet knife. Nothing wrong with that.. IF thats what ya like. But I prefer my prep blade to have less flex then that. It will have a 50/50 grind. and a nice distal taper thats subtle. to the halfway point of the blade then it tapers steady to a very fine tip.

I have a expected delivery date. as well as a handle material chosen and a price point..
OK so the price point. These will be 240.00 each + shipping. And if I do a pre buy. Ill do them at 200.00 each.
Estimated completion date is 60 days.

Thanks for looking. If your interested in a pre buy.... Post here.. Your post is not a commitment to buy, Just lets me gauge interest at this point.

    Blessings

Also wanted to add a short video done by CKTG on the first batch of these. It breaks down the knife. profile. and whatnot.
