Knives from Sayula, Mexico?

    Ok, so my avatar is from this entertaining stop motion clip made by PES.



    On another forum I got a question about the knife in that clip. I had no idea what it was, but after some freeze-framing I came to the conclusion that it is a knife from Sayula, Mexico. I also found this on ebay:

    Does anyone have any experience with these types of knives? They look kind of... brutal. ;)
