I gave the first kuro uchi knife I made to a coworker as a farewell gift and wanted to try my luck again.
This is my kuro uchi vol 2 :
With the first one I had skipped the cold forging , this one i tried to stick to Murray carters blade smithing book as much as possible

The blade is iron clad white 2 , 145 mm on the edge , 38 mm tall at the heel. The spine is 3.27 at the heel and tapers bit. It weighs 125 grams and ground for right handed person. The handle is Birdseye red gum with ebony ferrule, white g10 spacer . This is right after it's ground , I will finish it on j -nats and glue the handle probably within couple days.

Looks like a big step up from your first kurouchi. Nicely done!

I have put it on to stones and was very happy with the cutting performance of it. I have yet to clean a fish with it which will
give me better indication of it's abilities. This knife will be going to a friend of mine, who is an avid fisherman for his 40th birthday present.
With the next one I am going to try to make it thinner and longer , more like 180-200mm

I have messed up the kuro uchi on the left side but right side looks ok I guess. I have made another handle and used horn as a ferrule and end cap this time
