I just send a large box of wood to K&G for stabilization and I'll have another large box going out there later this month, so I need to clear the decks for my new inventory and raise some cash to pay for the stabilization. So I'm holding a two day sale, now thru Wednesday, where everything in the store (www.dreamburls.com) is on sale.

For every piece you buy you'll get 10% off, up to 50%. So one piece would be 10% off and 5 pieces or more would be 50% off. Price adjustments will be made by me through Paypal refunds so there's no code to put in at checkout.

The more you buy the more you save, up to 50% off for five pieces or more! Sale ends tomorrow midnight (EST).

Last day for drastic savings on everything in the store. Buy 5 pieces or more and get 50% off your purchase. 10% off every piece up to 50%. Sales like this do not come around very often. Take advantage while supplies last.

I hope you don't mind a silly question here...

Perhaps it's been answered before (heck, I may have even asked!)....

What is the difference between stabilized and not stabilized? What is the process? Does it change the appearance of the burl?
    Thanks!

Hey Toothpick. The simple answer is that stabilized wood is put through a process where polymers are infused into the cells of the wood through the use of a vacuum. With the cells impregnated there is little or no room for them to expand and contract and they become basically impervious to water penetration as well. The look is basically unchanged although some say they feel a bit more "plastic". Hope that helps. There's plenty of info on it if you Google it.

Gotcha. So it preps the wood for use in kitchen knife handles. Which I sorta figured, but wasn't sure all the techie stuffs
