Last time I was at the grocery and needed grits all they had was the "instant" type in the little individual packets. VILE! DISGUSTING! Better to have no grits at all.

I really like good grits, but I love a good home made biscuit.

I've been known to make the bag instant grits. I think it's the Quaker Old Fashioned grits I typically get. Either the 5lb bag or the bucket thing

I had some grits that were so far better than I have had before I asked the waitress what they were. She said Anson mill heritage grits.. I have not looked into that yet but I was super impressed with them.

    here's their price list
    http://www.ansonmillsdirecttochefs.com/wholesale-price-list.pdf

Grits are roughly $4.00 - $6.00 per lb. They require a 50lb order for wholesale.

Otherwise you can order 12oz for about 6 bucks. But they have a minimum order of any 12oz bags or one 10lb box.

I bookmarked the site and I will be placing an order at some point.

I have a hunch their flower will make some amazing biscuits.
