Interview with Chef Sachem Allison

Doctors found that there is a defect in the heart wall. everytime my heart beats it balloons out. They went in to fix it only to discover that a previous graft had collapsed again. This time there actually was a stent stuck in there and they couldn't bypass it to fix the problem. One of the three main arteries in my heart is completely blocked which isn't supposed to happen with my Plavix coated stents. Its only been 2 years since they fixed it last time. This same artery has let me down 3 times already. I'm starting to get annoyed. They are going to bring in some new equipment and literally drill out the blockage with a diamond drill. We will see how that goes.

 

Aw sugar--hate to hear that. Where's Oscar Goldman when you need him? ("We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster.") That's the magic 3 on the artery--maybe this time they'll get it right so they can take care of the other problems. Hate that you're going through this. Hope they get things straightened out in a hurry for you.

I talked to Son about an hour and a half ago, just as they were wheeling him in for surgery prep. The procedure he described is pretty freakin crazy, if you ask me. I told him to just have them cut the whole assembly out and put it in a box ala Davy Jones...but he didn't seem to think that'd work so well.

I told him optimism is a virtue.

Thoughts are with you

 

I'm on the phone with him now...he's doing good, and is taking off until Saturday (seriously...they're making him go back to work in less than 48hrs). The procedure ended up running 4x longer than it was scheduled.

Anyhow, he's passed out now lol, so I thought I'd update you all. He was grateful for all the well wishes
