Eeeek! Speedy recovery!

 

This is ridiculous. In Germany they would keep you in the hospital for a week and then send you for a 3-week rehabilitation to make sure you fully recover. And all that would be paid for because we have something called 'health insurance'... Don't want to be offensive, but a friend asked me what I find typical American after almost 10 years here, and my answer was 'patching things up in the cheapest possible way without looking at the long-term perspective'. Sorry for ranting. Anyway, main thing is that Son will recover and hopefully be well and out of trouble for a while.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. The surgery ended up a little more complicated then expected. They had to drill out the artery from both ends. They put in 3 stents and performed 6 angioplasties on one artery before they were able to get it fixed. I'm not sure I ate anything that you could call food during my stay but, all the nurses and resident doctors were gorgeous so, I had that working for me. No sleep some I'm going to go back to bed. I gotta get up at 8am tomorrow for brunch and pull a double. no rest for the wicked. Thanks again for the well wishes.

 

Hopefully when you get your new job here in Phoenix, you kick your boss in the nards a good one before you walk out.

Son, so happy to hear you're back on your feet. Crazy that you're back to work so soon, but I guess if you can do it that's a good thing. Don't overdo it!
