First night, went really well, other then the accidental meeting with the cat who kicked her butt a bit... but other then that, it was a great first night given the circumstances.

Just got word I can pick up my new bird dog pup end if February when she gets eight weeks old!

 

Awwwww! I bet those ears are the softest things in the world!

Gives me time to puppy proof the house, get another dog box, find the puppy collar and leash...

It's been six years since I've had a puppy. Twenty years for the lady of the house. Should be fun.

 

Get some sleep while you can. We hadn't had a kitten for around 17 years, and an only child then. Our 2 new ones have decided that our bedroom is the best place in the house to play at 2 a.m.

 

Yeah ... Already planning on a puppy dive bombing my foot or pawing At my beard while sleeping.

Or trying to cuddle the cat. The cat is an ************** and does not play well with others hahaha

How are Marie and Turd doing?

 

They are doing great, thanks! I think we've finally got all the little stray cat pest issues straightened out. And they're really coming around with their personalities. Turd was little mr. outgoing from the beginning, but Marie was afraid of everything. Now she's decided we are here to cater to her every whim, so it is alright for us to rub her belly and scratch under her chin. They've actually let us sleep through the night for the past 3 nights--a HUGE improvement!

Such a cute puppy! She (he?) looks like she's wearing little brown pasties.

A little under 3 months ago the kids were in as cage on death row, sick with poo in their fur. Things have changed a bit for them. And no, they aren't particularly grateful. And they would rather eat some of my cheese omelet for breakfast than their expensive chow.

They've been good for us. I still really miss our old girl, but these little beasties help a lot.

 

I can't resist showing her off! Road trip to Knoxville to pick her up on Monday.

 

This one had lymphoma and went downhill fast; had to put him down on Tuesday. He is missed...
