I thought Santa was from Turkey, or maybe the a North Pole. Who knew he was in St Petersburg. Killer little knife. Santa, I mean Anton put a great little bog oak handle on this. I owe him big.

I've been holding off for long while, expecting some special things that have been in the works long term. So much tempting work out there. This is a better look at an early X mas present. Just starting on some great color patina.

I'm waiting for a bunch of kinda neat stuff, but I think I'm looking more at a Chinese New Year gift, rather than a Christmas gift...if I'm lucky.

So far , it is a pleasure to use. Busy time of year to get too involved at home. Anton, you are the man! You've made a lot of members here very happy lately. I hope we can reciprocate somehow. Have a great holiday my friend .

It's a Mareko Maumasi Al. Kind of Radaresque but unique in it's own way. Cut as nice as it looks.

Yes he is. Last I saw him, he was working out of David Lisch's shop, and they were sharing ideas and techniques. Very beautiful knife! I love his stuff.

 

He's been building his own shop in Olympia, WA. There was a crowd funding campaign a few months back to help get it off the ground, and I have a new knife coming from that. Here's a teaser shot of the handle:
