    Yep--some koa that I got from Mark a couple years back. It's some amazing wood--looks like gemstone.

    And there are a couple in the drawer to keep me busy. :D

  13. I must say they've been my first knives from non-Japanese makers, and I'm very impressed with the level of workmanship and finishing. I'm comparing to Shigefusa and the JNS Kato here.

    Very nearly flawless ...
