Gave myself a day off , did some handles and some grinding

The one on the left is African Blackwood and Hawaiian mango with nickel spacer , the one on the right is ringed gidgee , blond horn and nickel spacer

With the next lot of ringed gidgee handled gyutos I will be offering these beautiful presentation grade material timber for saya

  6. Mert, how are they ground? And when will we see your promised makers mark?

Anton they are really close to being symmetric , less than 2 mm at the spine but super hard and no flex . I am waiting ( rather impatiently ) for the makers mark

2 170mm petit Gyuto's , hand forged from a blue#2 core billet and water quenched. First one with hawaian mango ( not maple:D ) African Blackwood handle and nickel spacer

I haven't fitted the handles yet , bad other than that and my makers mark they are ready
I have realised at home I am reaching for 150mm petty more than my 270gyutos , I tried 240 and 210 gyutos but they didn't feel right , on the other hand the petty I am using is not tall enough so I made these sticking to the gyuto profile and the height to length ratios that I like
