Project - Obachan's Knife

    Since I had some free time today I finished polishing the blade up. I think we struck a good balance between stabilizing the blade and leaving the character.

    Coming along nicely! I agree of the balance of the blades character vs cleaning it up, I am surprised the tang was in as good shape as it is after the rust was removed!

    No photos of the huge ball of tape clamped to my bench at the moment. I got the handle set today, I am pretty happy where it landed, could have been a sccotch further back but I was jiggling 4 planes to level it up. After that sets up I just need to seal the end and then on to the stones again and some wood treatment. Photos after I unwrap.

    Well nothing bad happened when I dropped it this morning....whew. Sealing the top of the handle.
