Hey I love my classic Star Trek double facepalm

 

We haven't had any measureable rain since the 1st of June. Yesterday there was a small rain squall that moved east of us and wet down Seattle. Plants are dying and we've had a lot of brush fires in the area. Might get some rain this weekend.

 

We finally got a little rain. There's a cow field across from our mailbox, and we have a bunch of calves that were born since the last time it rained, so they'd never seen it before. They did NOT approve of the nasty water getting them wet.

 

Looks like we have some rain just around the corner

 

Daughter told me she wanted a big doughnut, but I didn't have any money, so I called the local thaumaturgist. He didn't speak Chinese or English so there may have been a misunderstanding:


"I got u fam"

 

Hope you got through the storm OK.

 

Got two days off work in addition to the (unpaid) Midautumn Festival holiday, so I'm feeling some economic sting...but otherwise I didn't suffer at all.

 

Not working stinks, but glad you're ok.
