    Oh! One last note on the razor itself.

    I love...lovelovelove...the finish. It's an etch progression I had worked out on my EDC blades, though on those it was performed on smooth steel. Over the texturing I did to the razor however, it takes on a whole new appearance. The best part though, is that the oxides hold the choji oil I put on the razor quite well. Water simply runs off no matter how many times you rinse it during your shave. I'm sure it will need oil again eventually...but nowhere near the level that polished razors do.

    I wonder how it's going to look over a hamon?

    I do. I'm going to take a bit of video of it today that will hopefully show the finish better.
