Here's a cool Takeda project I'm working on. It still needs some oil, and a tiny bit of tweaking, but I really like how it is turning out, even without any extra work done on it. I have a similar piece to go along with this one, and will be doing my best to knock out my wait list.

I love these butcher knives!

 

Here's a really fun piece I'm working on for a really cool customer, fairly local to me. I was told to have fun with it, and make it have character. The saya is forthcoming, and I'll likely be adding an etched steel "bolster" to the top, just to make the transition from wood to metal more natural.
This is a Beatty #2, which as you guys know, is a bit of a cult type of item. Oh, and it's massive. I think this one will measure about two feet in length, but I can't be certain, since I haven't measured. I had to completely reprofile and thin the edge into a convex zero grind, so the first picture shows it in an almost done state.
Flame- coloured oak handle, that is almost perfectly smooth to the touch, finished with linseed oil (thanks for the tip, @cassca).
