Haha I was afraid you would ask. It's a "Boston cream Pie"as made by his mom as remembered by my buddy Tom. Its plain vanilla pudding, white cake and Chocolate Ganache.
I was happy because it brought a tear to his eye..

No photos but I had some simply fantastic Moose Kielbasa yesterday at a friends house. Love that moose.

Moose is pretty underrated in many parts of the states. I don't see it much around here, but it's been extremely tasty when I've been to places that offer it up. We're more of a Buffalo territory around here.

  11. Just saw a live moose a couple of weeks ago here in MA...rare to see them around here.

  15. Had 2 supermarket steaks tonight.
I had a ribeye, didn't quite get the crust I wanted but it was nicely marbled and really tasty!

My wife had a nice piece of rump which was really tasty as well.

Then dessert took the whole thing down a few notches though, I couldn't resist opening the tub of sweets we bought to put away for Christmas:D

If I said I had a wife with a nice rump, plenty of snickers would also follow.

Root Beer Brine Pork Butt. Made a brine with root beer, onion garlic bay leaf and orange. My kids and their friends drank my root beer so had to go out for more. Added some fennel, coffee and cocoa to my basis rub. Smoked about 5 hours, finished in the oven a couple more. Someone pulled it out before I got back and sliced some off. Bent the very tip off my vintage re handled Sab. No confession.
Thanks to Chef Large for the idea. 20141114_143009_resized.jpg 20141114_160115_resized.jpg 20141115_163255_resized.jpg 20141116_215743_resized.jpg
