    Say again? Coffee bags?

Do you have pictures of that process? or rather...how the heck did you do that?

i am proud to stand behind randy and his knives. from the start this man has been the ********. new makers beware of this guy.

  8. Looks very purposeful, and the extra height will likely increase its usefulness for a wider variety of tasks. Likewise, the kiritsuke tip brings another level of adaptability for tip work over, say, a cleaver.

Stylistically, however, the recurve in the choil isn't sitting well with the aggressiveness of the kiritsuke tip for me. I'd prefer a more traditional choil treatment, though I know this design is a somewhat of a signature of your work.

    Overall, it's a beast and I like it :)

I dont have images of the process. But can describe. The coffee bags are cut to size and then soaked in a epoxy resin. then layered one on top of the other. At this point they are pressed in a home made jig. and allowed to sure. The resulting piece is then processed further into either knife scales or blocks etc.

Thanks for the input. I can see where the S shaped choil is for lack of a better term. out of place on this knife. Yet its usefulness in my opinion trumps that. :)
    Respect

After buying a Mustang GT my bothers girlfriend said that she finally understands why you always see so many middle aged people driving this type of car. It takes that long to be able to afford to drive that type of car! Hey Randy, do you have a Mustang GT Gyuto, I can't afford the Ferrari's? :D
