mammoth madness!!!

Had to process a few sets for a client and heres what I come up with. Should be some pretty kitchen knives with these matching 3 sets and HHH Tsunami pattern damascus blades!!

 

Do the rings in the tooth have any meaning? Age of the mammoth perhaps?

It's so wicked!

 

Jason. I dont think that the rings are indicator of the age. But I may be wrong. I do know that where on the tooth the slab or scales come from and the direction of the cut. have alot to do with the size and shape of the rings.. Best part is. EVERY tooth, every slice. or block is one of a kind. No 2 are ever gona be exactly alike!

Even after seeing how it's done, it's difficult to get a handle on how you guys make these blades. For the record , the integral predator Damascus is still on the top of my list .

 

Missed this somehow. Probably need to hold off for now--the dentist needed to make a boat payment.
